Most of us are familiar with Eminem‘s “Stan”, the 2000 song in which the rapper corresponds with an increasingly unhinged fan over the course of several letters. The breakout song, sampling Dido’s 1999 hit “Thank You” tells the story of an obsessed fan, one who finds it increasingly difficult to tell the difference between fact and fiction. The song even earned a spot amongst VH1’s 100 Greatest Hip Hop Songs.

As if the secret service didn’t already have enough to worry about, President Trump decided to bring avid supporter Gene Huber onstage during his rally in Melbourne, a modern day “Stan” if we’ve ever seen one. After some initial confusion President Trump handed Huber the mic prompting him to say:

“I got a six-foot cardboard box of President Trump in my house and I salute that every single day.”
